Why
A VPN drains the battery, drops at the worst moment and costs money every month.
Omut is not another VPN. It's an app where Telegram just opens. Your phone doesn't push all its traffic through a tunnel. There's nothing to switch on, and nothing to forget to switch on.

Not mockups — this is the build you install through TestFlight. Names and messages are made up. The app interface is in Russian for now.

We could read it. We don't.
For push notifications to work with the app closed, the Telegram session lives on the server, not on the phone. Hiding that would be shameful. So we say it first.
The server sees
- That you're connected, and through which entry point.
- That a message was delivered. Not its text in the logs.
- Your subscription status, to unlock sending.
The server doesn't
- Write your messages to logs. Not to debug, not to errors.
- Keep media longer than it takes to hand you the file.
- Read your chats. Saying “we can't” would be a lie. “We don't” is the truth.

Is it a VPN?
No. A VPN routes your whole phone. Omut is an app where the messengers inside it go through our servers. Your other apps are left alone.
Do you read my messages?
Technically, a Telegram session on the server makes it possible. We don't read them and we don't write message text to logs. If we ever find a way to do it differently without losing push notifications, we will.
Can I use several Telegram accounts?
Yes. Several accounts in one app, switch without logging out. One subscription covers everything.
Does it work outside Russia?
Yes. The servers are abroad anyway, so the app opens from anywhere: at home, when roaming, or if you've moved away.
What if Telegram gets unblocked?
The main reason to pay gets weaker. Our own messenger stays. We know that, and we won't pretend that “all messengers in one place” keeps anyone around on its own.
Why isn't it free?
Servers, proxies, push notifications, other people's sessions on our machines. Three hundred rubles keeps it running. It's not about “monetizing attention”.
Is the app in English?
Not yet — the interface is in Russian for now. Your chats in Telegram and WhatsApp stay in whatever language you write them.

- Install TestFlight from the App Store.
- Open the beta link on the same device.
- Tap “Accept”, then “Install”. Omut appears on your Home Screen.
Mac
macOS 14 Sonoma or later
- Install TestFlight from the Mac App Store.
- Open the beta link in a browser on your Mac and click “View in TestFlight”.
- “Accept” → “Install”. Omut appears in Applications.
